Merry New Year and Happy Mother’s Day

February 14th, 2008 · No Comments

I know, I know. I’m behind on my blog entries…This year has been a roller coaster ride thus far. I’m coaching Jayden’s basketball team, Keegan is in baseball and Boy Scouts, and Nolan is in his first year of tee-ball so life outside of work has been just a bit hectic as of late.

Work as also been hectic as well…I was promoted again in March (whoo hooo!) and now have my own team. A great bunch of people to work with and I’m truly loving my job. It’s a busy time at eBay though and I’ve never been busier. So between my personal and professional lives I’ve had to let a few things go to ensure I get to actually sleep each night. Unfortunately one of those things has been my blog…

I still very much enjoy this forum though and I fully intend to get back in the swing of things just as soon as I’m able to stay awake for more than 10 minutes after wrestling Nolan into bed each night. That may actually be soon now that the various sports seasons are wrapping up.

Christmas Concert 2007

December 22nd, 2007 · No Comments

The Christmas grind, I mean season is rolling along Nolan’s Christmas Concert was last week. Last year he seemed like he could care less about the program, but this year he was really excited for his concert. Every night at dinner he would sing one of his songs. We’d all clap and then he’d double check to make sure that that I would be going to his “conshurt”.

To make things just a little more memorable he also had a new Christmas outfit of which he was so proud. My mom took all the kids shopping and bought them really cute Christmas outfits. I keep forgetting that he mostly wears hand-me-downs, so when he gets something new he really appreciates it. So when the day of the concert came he could hardly wait to get into his outfit. I took the morning off and was able to cook him breakfast after getting the older kids off to school. He was so excited though that I had a heck of a time getting him to actually eat.  He did though and was all dressed up in no time.

Griz Basketball vs. Santa Clara

December 19th, 2007 · 1 Comment

I was surfing the web the other morning and was pleasantly surprised when I realized that the Griz Basketball team was going to be playing Santa Clara later that night. As luck would have it Toni had the night off so we loaded up the kids when I got home from work and headed down to the game.

On our way in I ran into a buddy of mine from grad school that used to play basketball for the Griz. He was actually doing color commentary for the radio broadcast back in Montana. He had to hurry into the arena and I had to chase down Nolan so we only had a chance to talk for a few seconds, but it was still nice to see a familiar face. Too bad he didn’t have any eligibility left though because UM could have used him.
